Had a great evening, food was wonderful, no small cheap cuts here (unlike other places we have been), large pieces of quality chicken and Lamb. Service was excellent and there was a great atmosphere. And to top it off, they have gone old school and served some Bombay Mix, loved it.
The Team is Fantastic, so friendly from entering this lovely Restaurant, through serving food, till leaving. The Ovner/Manager always smart ( good selection of suits ) and friendly, knowing his Customers and mentioning previous visits conversations. Food is great, portions appropriate, always very warm as served on heated plates. Perfectly clean and ironed table clothes and napkins adding style. Special thanks to Misba & Shaju at the front and to the Chefs ( would be nice to see them sometimes to say thanks ). Highly recommended !
I’ve been going to Raj for years and they never disappoint! The food is the best around and the people and atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming. If I’m asked by anyone where the best place to go for food I always say Raj in Old Harlow!
Excellent from start to finish, visited on a Saturday evening with friends, the atmosphere was great and the music makes you want to dance. The food was superb was looked after well from all the staff and little mo . Keep up the good work and see you soon. Laura, Spencer, Trevor and nessa
We visited for a quick meal prior to going to the Victoria Theatre later. We had chicken dhansak, pilau rice and chicken balti. The dhansak was plentiful with plenty of chicken in and a smooth sauce with lentils, this had a lovely flavour. My husband had chicken balti and a garlic naan. The naan was light and tasty too. The staff were polite and courteous and answered our queries re a couple of items. The curries were really tasty, presented nicely and came out steaming. We used to live in Bradford, recognised as curry capital of the UK and as such we have had some fab curries there. However, the Raj Lodge was better and we will visit each time we are in Harlow. Just had a beautiful dinner with the family. This is one restaurant in harlow I can honestly go with the wife and kids and everyone leaves happy and full. Mo really makes u feel apart of the family and regardless of getting takeaway or a sit in meal every dish is cooked from the heart and delicious
I came here for my birthday meal with friends and family, I haven’t been here for a while but it didn’t disappoint it was amazing. We were looked after the owner couldn’t do enough gave us different dishes to try which was amazing we got a complimentary drink at the end amazing service, excellent food best Indian around highly recommend
